Animal Jam Adventures

  1. Kodi is a young Jamaasian.
    He is about to train to be a warrior.
    He is also about to be a hero.
    But he doesn't know that yet
    --

    Chapter 1

    "Mum, when I go to Jamaa, will you be ok? You know, with the hunting and everything?"
    "Of course! Now, you go and pack your things. Greely will arrive soon to escort you to Jamaa!"
    If you could describe Kodi in three words, he would be caring, adventurous and loyal. He cared about his family more then anything, though these were dark times for Animalasia. There was nobody in charge, after Explosion's death. Everywhere he went, Kodi saw adults cry when they looked at him. Kodi didn't understand this. His father may be Greely, Explosion his grandfather but they never cried at Star. Maybe it was because Kodi was always helping the other wolves in Wolpania, and sometimes he would even take the cats in the Pussy Plains some Coldberries during winter. Coldberries were small, red and blue berries that grew high in pine trees in Animalasia. They had a berry juice inside them that was perfect to hydrate animals during the drought season in the savannah. Whenever Kodi went, he did it with purpose. And one day, he was shocked to find his warrior pack on the kitchen table, in a brown paper parcel. Kodi waited until Star came home from school, and his mum home from her job at the grocers, which sold bread and corn from the farmlands down south, as well as vegetables from the Bunny Paradise, and fruit from the jungles west. When his family surrounded him, Kodi began opening the parcel. In it was a beautiful, silver sword, with a gold trim around the handle. There was a belt and a shoulder strap to put around him, and a penknife to cut through vines. There was a crossbow, with a green edge that reflected light. And finally, the gauntlets. Reinforcements to the claws, you may call them. They were green, like the crossbow, with orange fronts and tiny amethysts stationed in the front just above the ankle. Kodi was thrilled.
  2. The whole town gathered for Kodi's departure. All his friends ran along the river bank, chasing the boat he waved from, shouting their goodbyes. Kodi then felt sad. Unless you become a Jamaasian hero or an alpha, who can go where they please, Kodi wouldn't see Wolphania again until next spring, which was a whole year away. He would even have to spend the Jamaalidays in Jamaa, instead of exchanging gifts with Star and his and her friends. Greely saw that he was crying, and put an arm around his shoulder.
    "You know Kodi, compared to me, you are pretty lucky. You haven't lost most of your family in a day."
    "How did your... How did your family die Greely, you know, apart from Explosion?"
    Greely felt a lump in his throught, then told him.
    "Well, Tobie poisoned my mother with poison berry juice. I found her lying on the bed, there... There was all this... Foam, coming from her mouth. It was horrible. Then there was my brother, Downfall. He was older then Margo, but younger then me. He was killed by a rouge lion. Margo and I nearly met the same fate. When my father died, there was a lot of debate on whether either Margo or I should be the new leader of Jamaa, but instead I became an alpha, and Margo a Jamaasian hero. We knew that someone else should lead. I'm... Well a lot of people don't trust me because of the Dark magic I practice. Hey, it's just a hobby, but many Jamaasians believe I may be a traitor. But I'm not. And Margo, well she is pretty bad at being in charge. She always needs me to tell her to tell them what to do. And when you are a leader, you can't have somebody leading you. You know, instead of listening to me rambling, you could go and see the pets that need an owner."
    "Why?"
    "When you reach Jamaa, you can choose one pet to accompany you on your adventures."
    "Ya know Greely, I've always wandered, why are there even pets in Jamaa? I mean, it's not animal farm is it!?"
    "Well, many years ago, animals had slaves. This was wrong of course. They decided that they needed their slaves to be smaller, so they, um, kinda, downsized them until they were more like pets. They couldn't be slaves any more, so they became pets. At least, thats what legend says."
    Kodi decided to check the pets out. He walked across the deck, which was made of spruce planks, and into the cabin. Suddenly, he became buried. About twenty dogs, cats, hamsters, frogs, ducks, geckos and even sugar gliders where on top of him. Kodi laughed, and pushed them off. A puppy started licking his face enthusiastically, which made him laugh even more. Most of the pets went back to playing with a variety of bells, for cats, chew toys, for dogs and hamsters, platforms, for the geckos and sugar gliders to climb on though occasionally cats joined in too. It truly was a paradise for pets! Kodi began throwing toys for them, which they were thrilled by, and time flew by like a falcon in a hurricane. Fast. Soon enough, the bell rung, and Greely called Kodi out of the cabin. Kodi stared in wonder. Jamaa township! It was beautiful, there was greenery everywhere! Dew drops coated tiny, green leaves on trees, some tall and spindly, some broad and short. The paths were stunning, yellow tiles with golden swirls crating a shining pavement. Kodi jumped off of the boat before Greely had even instructed, and was excitedly pacing around, looking at all the different kinds of Jamaasians. He saw horses, galloping along the green on the edge of the sidewalks, and eagles, perching on buildings. Wolves dressed in spikes collars, kangaroos in headdresses. It was extraordinary. So many animals, united as one in Jamaa.
    "Well. Here's some gems and diamonds," Greely handed Kodi two sacks
    "You'd better go and buy a den!"
    So Kodi swung the sacks over his back, and began to head towards the den depot.
  3. (AN:Why Kodi doesn't get a pet is unknown. He originally did, but I couldn't think of any purpose for it. Anyway, that's a lil AJA secret!)
    Chapter 2

    Kodi stopped in a murky jungle and tried to see what the fallen item in the pit was. Then, his eyes grew wide. Zios' mask! He leaned forwards, and touched it with his nose. It was freezing cold, in a humid jungle? Kodi took some steps back. He decided to continue on. He spotted the entrance to seperia behind a mossy stone, and entered to see many animals roleplaying as warrior cats, the series by Heron Hunter. Before they 'attacked' him, he ran through to Coral Canyons. He began to climb the staircase up the archway to get to the Den Depot. A raccoon was on the counter, hurriedly sorting through orange gems, pink gems and blue gems. When he saw Kodi, he looked startled. Kodi was confused.
    "Ummm hi?"
    The raccoon continued gawping. Then, from behind a curtain of red, came a purple fox in a stunning headdress and elf tail armour. She came over to the counter and propped herself atop it. Kodi felt his heart beating as she spoke. "So, you're not from here are you?" She asked,
    "Ho... How did you know?"
    She chuckled, "your fur, it's like a bear!"
    "Well, I was named Kodiak after the bears, i prefer Kodi though. I am from Wolphania."
    "My name's Alice. That's Ember. He... He... Well he's seen a lot. He saw Explosion die, and heard the prophecy. "Ocean blue and twilight purple will mix to make a storm" no idea what it means, but well, you are purple and blue so yeah.. Wait, why exactly are you here?"
    "My... My father is Greely. He is training me to be a Jamaasian warrior."
    Suddenly Alice stared, as if she had seen a ghost.
    "Ummm, what is it?"
    "Nothing. So, you are here to purchase a den. Or..." She laughed "are you here for something else? Because sometimes noobs come expecting us to sell den ITEMS!"
    Kodi felt himself blushing. "Nope, just the den." He considered the options. Castles... Tree houses... Even mansions. Kodi chose the plain castle. Alice handed him the key, and he was off. Down the stairs, back through seperia and the temple, to the town. As he walked past the noticeboard, he saw lots of animals cuing outside. Kodi was curious, so decided to see what all the fuss was about. There was a bright green sign saying, "rare item Monday! Get it before it's gone!" This week's rare was a fox hat. Kodi liked the fox hats, so purchased a blue one. It looked stunning when he tried it on. Suddenly, the door flung open, and a blue fox collapsed in. Kodi ran forwards. The fox had a huge cut near it's throught and another all across it's side. Kodi panicked. He needed to stop the blood coming from the wounds or the fox would bleed to death. He saw some phantom tshirts on a rack, so decided to use these. The pressed them onto the slit along it's side. The animal yowled in pain. Then it was still. Kodi furiously wiped at the wounds, strapping the tshirts around them. When all hope seemed lost, Kodi sat down by it, and buried his head in it's silent chest. But it was not silent for long. A bright flash came from Kodi's amulet. He looked again at the fox.

    It was alive.
  4. Chapter 3

    "What!" A thunderous growl filled the room. The shadowy figure turned to it's side in a threatening stance, "If I hear ONE WORD more about that bloody prophecy, I will hold you in the acid tank until your skin BOILS off of your sorry bodies do I make myself clear?"
    " yes sir."
    "And what is this about flipping Greely?"
    " he has an apprentice sir."
    "What the heck is wrong with you all? I know he has an apprentice, BUT WHO?"
    " K...K...K... Kodiak sir."
    The black animal erupted in a mixture of anger and pleasure.
    "Well then, where is he?"
    "We.. We got the wrong animal sir. You see, we couldn't make them out in the cue for Jam mart clothing..."
    "IDIOTS!" He pounced on the smaller animal, "You bring him to me! Bring him if you have to pay all the bones in your worthless bodies." He smirked.
    "And, alive if you please! What fun it will be! It will be like Explosion is being injured himself to see the one thing he hoped would save Jamaa as a bloody mess. I'd like to not have to see his face. For he has eyes of only one other person in Jamaa.

    Explosion"

    The fox staggered up. Kodi held it down. "What,.. What is this?"
    "Ta... Ta... Tobie. He mistook me for., you... Well, at least his rouges did. I put up a good fight though! And you saved me, so kudos to you! If I were you though, I'd hide in the cave in Appondale! What they said Tobie want's to do to you!"
    "What? Do what?"
    "Torture you. Kill you. Ruin you."
    Kodi stared down. But then he remembered something. He couldn't leave. He had to make Explosion proud. Do his duty as a Jamaasian. Yet a fear climbed inside him, shaking him, playing with him like he was one of those toys you can win in phantom invasion. Yet he would overcome this fear. Why care he was being hunted down like a deer in a FPS game. He would protect Jamaa until his death, no matter how it came about.
    "You know, I don't care if it gets me ripped apart. Apart like a rag. Torn and bloody. I will be happy nomatter what if i can avenge my grandfather." He paused, "hey, you never said your name!"
    "Samson."
    Kodi now felt an intense need to make a joke," you don't seem strong and tough though!"
    "I was the first born. With triplets you know, the first born is supposed to be lucky. I guess it was my sister Amelia who got lucky. She is smart, cunning, she has these might quick reflexes so she can land on all fours, like a cat is supposed to. Heh, i guess I was unlucky. Can't fight. Can't do maths. Can't read Jamaasian. I guess I am strong enough, i could carry several bags of potatoes back in Foxalvania. Oh, and how did you do that?"
    "Eh, do what?"
    "Bring me back."
    "Don't know."
    "You could save so many jammers! I definitely want you in my adventure squad!"
    "What's an adventure squad?"
    "After you complete your training, takes a few weeks, you choose your squad or four jammers who you work with on missions. We need one more in our squad, I'm pretty sure we want you!"
    "Well, what are we waiting for? Take me to the others!"
  5. As he commanded, Samson led Kodi past the noticeboard and to the door of a wooden building, with musical notes engraved in the walls snd a Jamaasian flag hanging above the door. Samson pushed open the door, and the almost quiet, tranquil environment of Jamaa township got bombarded with a booming of not one, not two but three enormous speakers blasting out music. There was a drinks bar, with taps containing many different drinks, tasting of many fruits and other things that can't be mentioned by word. On springy and old couches, jammers chatted, telling of stories and their opinions. Mostly opinions. On a booth towards the back of the club, next to a marble pillar, sat a red raccoon and a cheetah. They waved as Samson entered the building. Kodi guessed they were allies. The wolf and fox went over, after having to push through hyper animals, dancing and leaning against the walls with their feat outstretched as if to say,"sorry, but you're gonna be on the floor in about three seconds, arrived at the booth and sat down. At Kodi, the others looked puzzled. Samson happily introduced Kodi to Sprint (the cheetah of course) and Tomi (the red raccoon). Sprint spoke.
    "So Kodi, i guess you could say I'm the speed, Tomi's the brains and Samson's the strength. I mean, he can open bottle caps nobody else can! Kodi, what are you?"
    "The fighter."
    "Ok, show us some of your moves!
    "Not that kind of fighter. I use motive, words."
    "And he forgot to mention he's Explosion's grandson!"
    "Really?"
    "Heh, yea. Better believe me."
    "Uh..." Tomi began to look at Samson, "why the t-shirts?"

  6. Chapter 4

    "Will the adventure squads please line up!"
    Kodi couldn't believe those boring hours of training were finally paying off. It was time! He ran to a post, where Sprint, Samson and Tomi were waiting for him. As they waited, they began to chat to the adventure squad next to them, which consisted of Moon, a lion, Jones, a wolf, Zara, a cheetah and Enchanted, a bunny. Kodi laughed as he realised Sprint and Zara kept winking at each other, and as Tomi and Enchanted compared hats. Kodi reached behind him, and felt the sword. He had chosen it over the crossbow as he had a terrible aim, and it was not as heavy on his back. Samson's weapon was a bow and arrows, Sprint a longbow and Tomi a sword much like Kodi's, but smaller. Slowly, the alphas came around, examining the squads and writing information down in notebooks. Samson tapped Kodi's shoulder and pointed. He had seen his sister Amila, who was heading towards them. When she came over, Kodi saw that she had light swirls over her body, and had small particles around her tail. When she saw Kodi, her eyes narrowed,
    "Kodiak. What a surprise. You shouldn't be here."
    "Why? I have every right to."
    "Because l know what will happen to you if you stay. I am an Alpha, which automatically makes me a Jamaasian hero. When you become a Jamaasian hero, you are given a power. My power is to... Well... I can see how and when animals die. I hate it. That's why i only use it when it's utterly necessary. Samson told me about the attack. I discovered how you will die. But my powers are fading as i never use them, so i only discovered where you will die."
    "Where then?"
    "The volcano."
    Kodi took a step back. The volcano was the most horrid place to die. He hoped he would die-say-of old age. He began crying, when he turned his head to see Alice and Ash handing out leaflets to the left of him. Alice of course noticed him, and noticed the tears streaming down Kodi's face. Surprisingly yet defiantly not unwelcome to Kodi, she put her arms on his shoulders. Amelia took one glance, and swiftly moved onto Moon's squad. Kodi was desperately trying to stop crying.
    "Why are you sobbing? Is it not adventure day or what?"
    "I... I don't want to talk about it."
    "Why?
    Kodi refused to tell her still. Anyhow, before he even would have the chance to try to explain, Greely came, and pointed the squad towards a portal, where Sophia the horse alpha was waiting. As they headed towards the portal, Kodi felt adrenaline rush through him.
  7. But he did not know why.

    As they headed to the portal, Samson began winking at Kodi, and Kodi knew it was about Alice. But he did not act or comment, and merely kept a suttle growl, which Samson instantly stopped at. When they arrived at the Portal Circle at the bottom of the hill, Greely instructed them to head right on in. At first Sprint had been slightly nervous about the idea of being teleported. But he was fine now, and was surprised at the sensation as he stood half way in and was suddenly propelled to the other side. When they arrived, they were greeted by a group of around five bunnies. Kodi noticed a yellow bunny, holding a cork, and went to ask for it.
    "Hello. Are you using that...?"
    "No. Why would I. I don't know what the heck to do with it!"
    During the training, they had learned that phantom pipes are created to pollute rivers, so for that reason Kodi took the cork and shoved it into the pipe. He stood back and the pipe EXPLODED.
    Slowly the team progressed, collecting corks to plug the pipes. After the final pipe was plugged, a cloud of purple fumes filled the air and the rivers were blue again.
    "So, we fixed your water. Can we see the key now?"
    "It is in the house" said a bunny "and my parents said the key to the house is... Ummmmm... Hidden in a plant." Tomi let out a deep sigh. Samson returned from an amber bunny with some watering cans, filled to the brim with water from the well. As they began watering, Sprint noticed Kodi becoming sidetracked. He was watering the pebbles!
    "Umm, are you ok Kodiak? You seem... Uh.."
    "Fine. Just thinking about,.. Life... And things.." Suddenly Samson yet out a yell of joy. He had found the key! The fox entered the rustic burrow. Three or so minutes later, he emerged with a key. The four animals headed to the purple gate. As they turned the key, a puff of smoke evaporated into the air and , after choking on it a bit, Kodi and the others passed through to the other side of the woodland. Just as they entered, a purple shine caught Tomi's eye. It was a key!
    The other three animals searched for any others. There was 4 total keys, but for what? As they came into a clearing, Sprint stared in horror at 4 bunnies, trapped in 4 cages. Instantly, he ran forwards and tried the key in the lock! It worked and the bunny began jumping for joy.
    "Oh Mira I had been trapped in there for a while!"
    "How, why?"
    "Tobias. He is creating obstacles for the Jamaasians. Trapping helpless jammers. Buying time."
    "Why?"
    "How am I supposed to know??"
    Kodi, Samson and Tomi freed the other bunnies. The portal ahead was glowing brightly. The warriors stepped through.
  8. Chapter 5

    Terror was all they saw on the other side. Upon a tall rock in the centre of the Portal Circle, there was a wolf. He was black as a shadow, and had terrifying empty red eyes that glowed eerily . He had sturdy long legs, and lumbering paws with claws like glass shards. His tail was thick, and his head swayed as he saw Kodi come through the portal.
    "Jamaawhateveryoucallits, i have an announcement to make. Will Kodiak step forward?" He gritted his teeth into a grin "He will not be harmed. I just need to tell him something"
    Kodi stepped forward in silence. He knew that Tobias would do unnecessary things otherwise.
    "Kodiak. Leave Jamaa at once. If you don't... I might kill you. Clear?"
    "Y, y , y, y yes," Kodi stuttered
    "Now, come. I need to tell you something. In private,"
    Tobie stepped off of the rock, and whispered into his ear, "There will be no prophecy now."
    He lifted a paw to Kodi's head, and dug his claws into his neck. He lifted his other paw and delivered a punch to Kodi's back. He collapsed down, blood pouring from his neck. He remembered nothing.

    Kodi opened an eye to see a blue deer staring down. A scarf of vines was tight around his neck.
    "Wh-Who are you?"
    "I am Ivy. I am a healer and you have been healed."
    "Oh.. Okay..."
    "Around your neck is a cast made of vine and pulp. I would recommend that you do not remove until the wound heals. You nearly died."
    "That feels a little too much information, thank you..."
    "Oh, apologies. Anyhow, you should be able to get back to... What do you call them... Adventures? Soon enough."
    "Thank you for telling me, but how did you get me here?"
    "Stop whining and giving questions. Listen, Kodi. You're in danger. Tobie will do anything to kill you. So I say you stay away from Jamaa. Wolphania is safer for you. You will be ok there."
    "No! I am no coward!"
    "The greatest heroes are always the cowards.
    "Cowards? No! Heroes are not cowards!"
    "You'll learn one day. Now, get some-"
    Bang.
    "-sleep....."
  9. "Where... Where am I?" A drowsy Kodi awoke to see that his feet were indented into a cloud. He looked upwards to see two statues. A blue bird and a golden bird. Mira and Zios of course. But the statues were torn and broken, like a ragged cloth, and the once glass eyes in them had been covered in oil and damaged so that you could not see them. And then he looked down, through the cloud. Four animals walked. Each had a pair of wings. Two blue, one gold. And one that were torn, and shattered. Just like the statues. The strange thing was that these animals could not be identified. It was like a blur of copper and ice. But there were definitely four. And they walked as one, through... The Sky Kingdom. This was the Sky Kingdom, of course! A dream of the Sky Kingdom, how amazing! But where were other Jammers and Jamaasians? The place seemed barren and abandoned, yet just as beautiful, with the ancient engravings of animals before even the battle in which Explosion was stabbed and hurled off of the edge. Before even the heartstones, spiritual rocks, existed. This place had been created by Zios and by Mira to give animals sanctuary after death. And then the Torpedo. It had been destroyed by rouges in the war, but it had been used to allow dead animals to come back to life. If only it hadn't been broken, then Explosion would still be alive... And then the four animals appeared in front of Kodi as he thought. And he stared hard at them. But there were no clues as to who they were. Only one small detail remained. The blood that fell from the one with battered wings.

    Chapter 6

    "Wake up, dimwit!" Sprint playfully nudged Kodi awake. Kodi shivered, remembering the final figure.
    "You know... I had the weirdest dream. There were these four animals, and-"
    "Ey, save the chat for later! There's been phantom sightings by Cosmo's place!"
    Oh no, not Cosmo. That crazy koala. When he wasn't driving everybody insane, he'd be in his own little Cosmo zone. Nobody would ever dare to enter the dreaded Cosmo zone. Greely had told Kodi that Cosmo didn't use to be crazy. In fact, he was the herbal genius of the alphas.
    "I guess," Greely had told him, "After the death of Explosion, everything changed. Like how everyone else vanished. I guess we were chosen for nothing. I of course stayed. I had Margo to protect. I couldn't leave my sister alone, so I remained Alpha. It's such a shame that we don't see much of Peck, Graham and Sir Gilbert. The cowards. It was just me left now, with Liza and Cosmo."
    "Well," Kodi stood up, "I guess we SHOULD try to solve whatever the heck is happening."
    "Exactly, Kodi. Now, Samson and Tomi are already by the portal to Cosmo's. We news to go fast."
    "Fast? I've just been crippled by Tobie!"
    "Of course. Moderately paced then."
    "Oh, where did Ivy go?" Kodi looked around the room for her, but the blue deer was gone. How peculiar! And so, with nothing else to discuss, the two headed to the portal zone, as Sprint had began to call it.
  10. ~~~
    Small warning-this part of the story is some humerus relief. If you don't like laughing, well... Yeah... (Don't fear, there isn't anything rude or the like. It's just... You'll understand XD
    ~~~
    "I thought you were dead, Kodi! We were all worried sick!" Samson ran up to Kodi and gave him a tight, awkward hug.
    "You two got a bromance or what?" Tomi looked at the two friends' faces and began to laugh to the point that she was crying. Greely walked up to them and directed the squad to the portal to Cosmo's place.
    "Remember, he's an old guy. Older then myself. So you don't go making foolish jokes. Trust me, he can damage with that old-sacred-birdy-walking-stick!"
    "Wait, what?"
    "Just, do what he asks of you."
    "Ok.." The group laughed as they ran through the portal, and came out to what looked like a small farm.
    "Hello my children! I'm COSMOOOO" Yelled Cosmo as loudly, as if he were impersonating a Jamaasian he hadn't even heard of. Kodi stifled a laugh, as the koala pointed his walking-stick towards a well.
    "Now, children, there may be a few people who just died! But you have an important job to do! WATER MY PLANTS!!" He screamed, and danced off towards a cauldron.
    Tomi hesitantly picked up a watering can, and began to water. Soon, she was joined by the others. Kodi still couldn't get over the fact that Cosmo found plants more important then animals' lives. Sprint then went up to Cosmo.
    "Um, we're done..."
    "GREAT! NOW BRING ME... Er... Oh... Whatdoyacallthem... Those leafy things."
    "You mean lettuce?"
    "Oh, yeah, that's it! Silly me! And those orange things rabbits eat."
    "Carrots." Samson was clearly unimpressed.
    "And some purple things that look like squashed phantoms."
    "Rhubarb. Cosmo are you-"
    "NO I'M NOT AND THANK YOU VERY MUCH!" Cosmo then took the vegetables that Tomi had been gathering meanwhile, and threw them into the cauldron.
    "Oh, THERES SOME OTHER THINGS TOO. BRING ME SOME HONEY AND CHOMPER SEEDS AND PLANT SAP!" He yelled into Kodi's ear. What was wrong with this person?
  11. In what felt like far-too-long-of-a-time, Cosmo did his magic spell.
    "ABRACADABRA PLANTY THINGY GROW!" He yelled and thus a tree grew. Mesmorised by it's beauty, Cosmo began to twirl like a ballerina. Then a small frog jumped out of a pond and began to ride a unicycle.
    "Why is dat boi coming into this..." Kodi facepawed.
    "Well, dat boi," said Cosmo, "this my children is a BOOMSEED TREE! When you throw boomseeds, they EXPLODE! Like one of Zara'a barbecues! And you can use them to pop open ickle widdle photon babies!"
    "I'm so done," muttered Samson to Sprint, as they took a few boomseeds each.
    "Try it on this rock!" Cosmo pointed to the rock, then disappeared along with dat boi.
    Kodi threw a boomseed into the rock, and sure enough, there was a loud booming and the rock shattered into fragments, so that the squad could pass through.
  12. Chapter 7
    "Why does Cosmo call phantoms photon babies..." Kodi whispered to Tomi.
    "Zios knows why. I did NOT expect him to be that insane."
    "Neither. What are we even doing?"
    "Well, there's only one way to go, and that's towards whatever that is." Sprint pointed towards five tall reeds. Each one looked much like a pipe.
    "Hey Samson, try blowing into one!" Tomi called to Samson who was now examining the pipes. He blew into one and it made a small shrieking sound, like an out of tune clarinet.
    "Well, my ears are dead," moaned Kodi, "but I have a feeling there's something going on here."
    "Yeah, they must go in a certain order," Tomi agreed.
    "But what order, they... Hang on..." Sprint looked behind the pipes, to the stone Samson was standing on. "We have to do them in the order of the stones! Or rather the stone heights!"
    "Oh, that makes sense! Well, Imma get tooting!"
    Everybody shrieked with laughter, then another mysterious creature emerged from a bush.
    "Much toot much pipe such loud." And he disappeared again. Nobody really wanted to find out what other beings lurked around Cosmo's garden, so they decided to get moving. Once Samson had finished tootling the pipes, a magical ladder of vines grew from out of nowhere, leading up the cliff.
    "Oh my Mira..." Tomi stared in confusion at the ladder.
    "Well, hurry up!" Kodi began to climb the ladder onto the ledge, but halfway there he misjudged his footing and slipped.
    "Argh!" He mumbled as he fell down, hitting the ground somewhat hard.
    "Let me go first," sighed Tomi, as she nimbly scrambled up the ladder.
    "The advantages of being able to climb well!" She leaned over to help the others up.
    "Hang on," sighed Sprint, frustrated, "where do we go now?"
    "Maybe we use the boomseeds?" Wondered Samson, "It makes sense.."
    So Samson took aim and threw a boomseed into the cliff. Everybody braced themselves as the rubble flew out, and it left a small cave.
    "Kodi, you first bro." Samson shoved Kodi in before he could say otherwise.
    "It's not too bad, to be honest."
    "Well, ok. Coming in!" Sprint entered the cave, and then saw that it wasn't as dark as it had looked on the outside.
    "Man, come on!" He beckoned Samson and Tomi inside. It was then that Kodi noticed the purple like substance that was dripping between the cracks, and a cage in the corner of the cave.
    "Hang on... That's a koala in there!"
    "Well, there must be some kinda key around here somewhere!"
    "Wait," Kodi racked his brain, trying to remember what the purple goo does. Then he remembered.
    "That's the same stuff that made Tobie go rouge."
  13. "Kodi... You ok?" Samson tapped his friend on the shoulder.
    "No... No... We have to get out of here!" Kodi yelled and began running towards the other side of the cave, where there was a second opening.
    "Why?" Tomi called after him
    "We... This... I..." Kodi said not another word, and dashed strait out.
    "Kodi wait! What about the ko-" Samson's words were cut short as a 'Pang' was heard from nearby, and an arrow landed by his feet.
    "Well, I guess he's right... Samson began heading out of the cave, as fast as he could, swiftly followed by Sprint, and Tomi... Wait!
    "Guys, I think Tomi's still in there!" Sprint began to turn back
    "If we go back in, we could get hurt. We need to tell somebody. Like an alpha!"Samson reasoned
    "COSMO GET YOUR CRAZY BUTT OVER HERE!" Screamed Kodi, and Cosmo appreared.
    "I must fetch the almighty Dat Boi... Whoops, meant Greely. Hopefully Tomi will survive for the next three hours.."
    "Three hours?"
    "Fine, three minutes. Anyway that's the least of our worries! Some ragamuffin broke my sacred meme bridge!"
    "Your ZIOSDAMNED MEME BRIDGE MORE IMPORTANT THEN A JAMAASIAN? COSMO, GET OVER HERE SO I CAN RIP OUT YOUR LIVER!" Screamed Sprint so loudly that some small unknown planet exploded.
    "Well, screw everything. I think we should get back to base camp and reveal the bad news", sighed Samson.
    "Plus, it's Friday! And that means Club Geoz has that amazing Jamaasian rootbeer!"
    Chapter 8
    Zara and her squad approached Kodi's, and noticed that Tomi had vanished.
    "Where's Tomi?"
    "She... She..."
    "Oh Mira no..." Enchanted looked down at the ground.
    "She was brave. We'll all miss her." Moon sighed
    "Hey, we don't know if she died yet!"
    "True. I hate it when Jamaasians vanish with no trace. So sad." Jones handed everyone rootbeers.
    "Wait, so it happened before?"
    "My Zios, yes. Didn't you hear it on the news a few years back? A group of rouges came to Jamaa. But there were no bodies, or blood. Just emptiness. I lost my best friend, Abby." Jones looked like she was about to cry.
    "Its okay, we lost Lucy too. Remember her?"
    "Oh, yes! She was amazing at construction. Remember when she helped build that eagle shack thingy?" Moon smiled at the memory.
    "Of course!" Enchanted mumbled, "Shame nobody goes there."
    "Hang on," Samson squinted through the curtained window of the club, "be right back. I need to fetch something..." And he dashed out.
  14. Samson crouched behind the fountain, and watched the figure. Was it... Yes. It was... It was Tobie? But how hadn't anyone seen him. Samson almost slapped himself. It's ZiosDamned night of course! Suddenly, Tobie sprinted into the Sol Arcade. What the heck was he doing? Samson crept into the arcade, to see Tobie pulling out some of the wooden planks, barricading a hole. The fox then didn't see where he was going, and tripped. The wolf turned around and saw the blue animal. No... Oh no... Samson braced himself, and felt the arrow fire into his shoulder.
    "Where am I... Samson awoke inside of a dark room, and noticed he was wearing some kind of rag.
    "Get it off!" Yelled an animal from a different supposed cell.
    "What's it do?"
    "Just get it off!" And so Samson tugged off the mask.
    "Now can you tell me what it does?"
    "Well, let's just say the last animal in that cell never found out..."
    "Yikes. So, what is this place?"
    "We all call it 'large place filled with cells of doom."
    "Enlightening." Samson sighed sarcastically, "and why is 'L.P.F.W.C.O.D a place?"
    "No idea. Every day one of us vanishes and never returns."
    "Oh... Ok... So we just wait for impending doom, or we realise that this entire wall is just dirt?"
    "Holy mother of Mira.."
    "Well then friend-whom-I-do-not-know-who-or-what-or-where-is, start digging!"
    "Friend's name is Lucy. Lucy is snow leopard. And I'm in room."
    "Nice grammar. ANYHOW.." Samson began tearing away at the wall, heading upwards, for it was easy to figure that they were underground. The dirt fell into his face, but he kept on going. And he could hear several other tunnels being dug, the sound of dirt and stone crumbling into the cells. He wondered just how many other animals were in this place. Suddenly, he felt something hard and solid. Stone tiles. Samson tried to move them, but the tiles wouldn't budge.
    "Oh my Zios! I'm out!" Yelled an unknown animal.
    Why can't I get out?
    Why- Samson's thoughts were interrupted when he saw a small crack in a tile. With all his might, he dug his claws into it, and wrenched the tile out, to see something no animal should ever have to see. A.. Tapestry? He looked at it, puzzled. There were what looked like about twenty individual symbols. A lightning bolt. A pickaxe. An orb. Fire. Lava. Water. A swirl. But each and every symbol was stained with blood. All except for one. Just over half way, a symbol had been scratched out.
    What a mistake that Samson never thought a thing of it.
  15. Chapter 9
    "Look, there he is!" The snow leopard ran over to Samson,"you ok?"
    "Yeah... I'm fine.." Sighed the fox, "I just want to get outta here!" He laughed, "so, let's get to it?"
    "Oh, oh, sure!" But I'm far too curious to leave this place without evidence!" The snow leopard looked at the tapestry, "like that thing."
    "What's it got to do with anything?"
    "No idea. You're right, we should probably just leave." The group of animals, must've been about 30, began searching the building.
    "Well, there isn't a door around here." A horse looked at a staircase, "it must be.. Up?"
    "Or maybe there's no door!" A kangaroo panicked, "Maybe we're all doomed!"
    "No, no, we aren't doomed! If Tobie can get in and out this place, so can we!"
    "I guess..." The group sighed, and began heading upstairs. But they were met with an unpleasant sight.
    "Haha, look at this Tobie! They got out!" Laughed a pitch black seal. A rouge.
    "Step aside, sealy. Imma send them flying!" A lion stepped forward, and prepared to pounce on the nearest Jamaasian, a goat, when the snow leopard leaped up. She landed on the rouge's back, and dug her teeth into his neck, hard. The lion fell to the ground, howling in pain as the blood seeped from the wound. He was soon dead. Lucy growled at the group of rouges, who scattered. Foolish animals. Samson followed Lucy up the flight of stairs.
    "So, how the heck can you do all that stuff?"
    "Born and raised in a family where we knew it the moment we were born." Suddenly, Lucy's eyes were overwhelmed with tears, "we had to. One day, my younger brother was told to go out and find some food for us in winter. I went with him. He had no idea how to defend himself. He was only a toddler or so... And there was a rouge. It only took a swipe and he was dead... From then on, we taught everybody to fight. It was a long process. I didn't enjoy it, so became an architect instead... Until I was taken."
    "Oh my Zios I'm so sorry..."
    "I'm ok. I'm fine." She sighed and continued up the stairs. Samson had lots more things he wanted to ask, but he decided to keep his mouth sealed.
    "Look," a deer pointed to a balcony, "think we could get out there?"
    "Looks decen-" Samson's words were cut off as ten or so pipes sprouted from the ground. Phantoms began to emerge from them.
    "Boomseeds!" Lucy pointed to a randomly placed stack. Everybody grabbed a handful, and started lobbing seed after seed at everything in a 6 meter radius.
    "Looks like you're all smarter then I thought. Ish."
    "T-T-Tobie?" Samson stuttered
    "Look, how about you come with me back to your cells. It's for the better."
    "Oh really?"
    That didn't come from anybody in the room. It came from the balcony. It was... Greely?
  16. "Get over here and fight." Greely growled at his uncle, who bounded forth, claws sharp. Tobie took aim at Greely's neck, but the younger wolf swerved to the side, sending him crashing down.
    "Sure are clumsy!" Greely laughed, taunting Tobie, who was taking aim again.
    "You know," the black animal spat, "it'd be easier if all three of you had died. Instead they took the weak one."
    "Shut up." Greely pounced on him, digging his claws into Tobie's back, as he tried to shake him off.
    "I will n-ot, sh--ut up.." The wolf stuttered between shakes, soon Greely was off again, but he was bleeding from his shoulders. Greely was still fine, but not for long. Tobie crashed into him, sending him flying into the wall. Greely shook himself of the dust, and looked hard at Tobie.
    "You killed my brother. You killed my father. You killed my mother. But you will not kill me."
    "Oh really?"
    "Yes really."
    "Really, really?"
    "Yes."
    "Sure?"
    Greely growled in frustration, and ran towards the rouge, howling in rage.
    "It won't hurt if you breath in." Tobie spoke.
    "Wha-"
    The arrow had fired.
    Chapter 10
    "We have to jump!"
    "Jump? We'll perish!"
    "And we'll perish if we don't! Just... Trust me!" Samson leapt off the balcony. The wind whipped him as he fell. He knew he was going to die. He just knew...
    He felt himself hit the ground.
    |Crazy Cosmo Warning dundundunDUUUUUUN|
    "WAKE UP MY CHILD!!!"
    "Wha... Where am I?"
    "YOU BROKE YOUR BACK! BUT COSMO BE MAKING IT BETTER!"
    Samson mentally facepawed.
    "YOU WILL BE FINE!!!!!!" Screamed Cosmo as he danced around the hospital.
    "DAT BOI! GET ME SOME KETCHUP!" Dat Boi cycled over and handed Cosmo a full sache(Oh My Zios how do you spell that DX). Cosmo squirted it on his head and dismissed Dat Boi.
    "Why did you squirt ketchup on your head...?"
    "Because I ordered chips!"
    "I don't care."
    "OMZ DID YOU REALLY!!!?!????" Screeched Cosmo.
    "Yes I did."
    "NO STOP OR I WILL BREAK YOUR NECK!!!!"
    Samson saw a phone. He grabbed it and headed to AJTube. Wisteria had just uploaded a video. Samson turned the sound to full volume and held it to Cosmo's ear. The sound that came from the phone was so extreme that the windows broke. Even though they were already broken. Then the ground began to shake.
    "Man that was loud." Sighed Samson, stroking his damaged ears.
    "Ugh, kiddo. I don't think the MOOOOON caused THAT!" Cosmo pointed outside to an erupting volcano.
    "Oh sweet mother of Mira..."
  17. <~:SPOOPY FLASHBACK DUNDUNDUNDUNNNN:~>
    "Explosion. You thought you could just kill me. Get rid of me. And claim Jamaa for yourself."
    "Tobias you know full well that I had to let go..."
    "No. You chose to due to your belief in Zios and in Mira and all that. You chose them over your own brother. But now the lake is tainted. And that pollution is going to spread. Slowly. To every Jamaasian we see tread on this world. They will just be infected with us."
    "What are you even saying?"
    "You are corruption to everybody who steps on this land. All Jamaasians will ever be is selfish fools. Which means I have to eliminate them. One by one. And look who's here?" Explosion tried to speak but Tobie spun around, a stalactite in hand. The rock had been coated in steel, and pointed as a spike. The red wolf tried to reason, but before he could, the spike flew strait through his neck. Tobias kicked his body over the edge. And then the black wolf turned to the two wolf pups. Now parentless.
    "I don't kill children. So get out of my sight." Tobie growled, and the two wolves fled at high speeds.
    <~:END OF SPOOPY FLASHBACK:~>
    :Pov switch to an unknown obvious place:
    "No! You can't do that!"
    "We have no choice. Unless we eliminate her, Kodi will never become a Jamaasian hero."
    "What the heck. You have. I have. They have."
    "It isn't the same. None of you are as important as this one."
    "Shut up. Just.. Shut up."
    The golden figure turned and stared down at the ground. One of the blue figures stared at it and growled.
    "You can't ruin his destiny."
    "I'm not ruining anyone's destiny."
    "Yes. You are right now." The blue figure pounced on the gold one and pushed it to the ground.
    "You will never be one of us."
    "I don't want to be. You Jamaasians are useless. You are fools. Like Greely."
    "What did you just say?"
    "I said Greely is a fool. Need you hear it again?"
    "Stop." The blue figure took aim, and tore at the golden ones' throat.
    ":Name:, stop!" The other blue one watched in horror as stars poured from the smaller figure.
    "You two are ruining everything! We need to do it now."
  18. Chapter 11
    Kodi screamed. His head... It felt like it was in fire. He was frozen stiff. He couldn't move. For a second, Kodi was legitimately thinking he was dying. But he wasn't.
    Alice dashed into the room.
    "Kodi, are you-"
    Bang.
    -----~~~~~-----~~~~~
    "Kodi, wake up.." Samson, Sprint, and several other animals were standing over him.
    "Wha-what..." Kodi looked around, "who are you people?"
    "He's got amnesia.." Lucy walked over to the others, "they say that it erases memories."
    "Well, can we bring him back?"
    "Of course. Just," Lucy leaned over to the others where Kodi couldn't hear, "just don't tell him about Alice.."
    "Can do."
    "Kodi, we're your friends. You are Kodi, or Kodiak. You're Greely's son, and Explosion's grandson. And Tobie wants you dead"
    "Oh." Kodi paused for a while, his head still burning. He couldn't remember anything, only blackness.
    "Hey, you lot! Can't you hear?" A tiger entered the hospital.
    "Sir Gilbert?"
    "Yes, that is me. Now hurry up. We're trying to gather a rescue party to save Greely, guessed you all would like to come."
    "Sure! But it looks like Kodi might need to stay here-"
    "No! I'm coming too!" Kodi stood up. He felt sure that this amnesia was caused by this Tobie. He had to get revenge.
    The large group advanced on the volcano. It consisted of Kodi, Samson, Sprint, Zara and Moon, led by Margo, who was furious at the capture of her brother. The entrance to the volcano was rather narrow, and had to be widened to fit the majority of the group through. As soon as they entered, there was a horrible smell wafting around that smelled of oils and petrols. Furthermore, the ground was covered in goo, which the animals has to somewhat skip over in order to avoid becoming half rouges or something of the sort. The caves were long and dark, luckily the majority had brought lanterns, and there were phantoms at every turn. Margo was quick on her feet, guiding the younger Jamaasians to the large cavern. This cavern was actually underneath the actual volcano, running in the ground. The streams of purple lava and clumps of obsidian were blocked off by glass. The floor was cobble, but it had been stained with purples and black, in the shapes of leakage. Up ahead, Margo was taken aback by the sight. Greely was underneath a sea of chains, his body almost crushed by the force. Margo ran to him, and furiously began to dig through the chains. She reached into her pocket for a lock-pick, and worked hard until her brother was free from the chains. Greely crawled out, and stood up weakly. Margo supported him, and began to walk to the exit. But it was blocked off?
  19. "Margo! Behind you!" Sprint called out as Tobie came from behind the pile of chains. He raked his claws on Margo's flank, but she spun around and bit his right leg. She didn't let go, until he flung her away and focused on Kodiak. Kodi stepped forwards, rage burning in his eyes. Tobie ran at him, grabbed him by the neck in his teeth, and tried to twist. Kodi winced and fell to the ground. Tobie stood back, watching as the blood seeped from Kodi's neck. He was surely dead. He had to be. Samson began crying into Sprint's shoulder, and the others stared in utter horror as Tobie began to advance on them, raking his claws against the ground. Moon jumped, landing on the wolf's back. Tobie tried to shake, but the lion would not let go. Eventually, Tobias brushed against a wall, forcing the larger animal off his back. But just as he was about to lunge for Margo, he felt a hard force on his neck. He fell limp, and was tossed away. Kodi stood there for a second, then collapsed on the ground. Margo had found a pickaxe amongst the stones, and had broken a way out. She lifted Greely on her back, and Samson and Sprint shared Kodi, followed by Zara and Moon, who was limping slightly. Just like that, Jamaa was safe again.
    Kodi was laid on the hospital bed, where Cosmo tried to shove leaves on him. He drifted into sleep.
    "Kodiak." Explosion.
    "Am I dead?"
    "No. You are about to become the first of many Jamaasian legends. Take a look at the tapestry."
    "There's twenty two symbols total, well twenty one because the... Sixteenth... Is crossed out."
    "Correct. Each of these symbols represents a future Jamaasian legend. You never really see them coming, but sometimes, like you, they have a reason. Back in the days before Jamaa was Revived, there were certain soldiers who would protect Jamaa until their last breath. When it was Revived, I was given this tapestry. But in the great war, Tobias stole it from me and told me that none of these would be true heroes. In a rage, he scratched out one of the symbols, sixteen. I was furious. The tapestry will always be here to show you who will be a legend. It's hard to see it sometimes, but every icon has a meaning. Like this broken sun. Personally, I'm confused as to why 15 is one of those game controller things some of you swarm to. Im also intrigued about why sone of them are connected, like 21 and 22. But what scares me most is what will happen about sixteen..." Explosion trailed off, "you must never tell a living soul about the tapestry. Even if you find one of the legends, you have to let them find theirself. I now grant you your Jamaasian power, knowledge. Use if wisely, and save lives."
    Kodiak woke up. He was finally a true Jamaasian.
  20. AJ ADVENTURES 2:FIRE AND ICE
    "IT IS FIRE AND ICE YOU MUST FIGHT WITH, ONLY THEN WILL YOU BE STRONG AGAINST A FORCE SO GREAT IT LIFTS THE TREES AND SHAKES THE GROUND"
    Kodiak is now leader of Jamaa, and Jamaasian Legend.With Tobie gone, the world seems quiet, but not for long. There are humans coming, destroying the life. But where there is fire, there is always ice, and this will prove to be the toughest battle Jamaa has faced yet...
    Small note-This episode is rather short compared to the majority of the books, and has a slightly different style, as it was written around six months ago. Since then, my writing style has changed a little. Sorry if this is a tad annoying.
  21. Chapter 1
    Kodi awoke to the sound of many pots and pans bashing around in the kitchen. His mother, was making breakfast it seemed. At what time? 6:01 am. Kodi rolled over in bed, and tried to get some sleep. After living in the crystal palace for a while now, he still hadn't gotten used to it. At least it was nowhere near as cold as the weather in Wolfania. Suddenly, the computer beeped loudly. Kodi jumped up and rushed over to see a whole lot of emails. The majority were usual, complaining about the prices of bread and the like, but this was about tents! Kodi huffed, and decided that he should go and check the tents, to find out who put them there. He hoped that it was just a group of animals, maybe. Kodi slapped on his fox hat, grabbed his sword and slipped into his tail armour and gauntlets. Then, he ran downstairs, skidded on the floor, an advantage of living on crystal, past the breakfast bar, grabbing two waffles and whipped cream as he did so. But just as he began to run out of the door, he was stopped by his sister, Star.
    When he had been alone at Jamaa, Kodi had admittedly missed her. A bit. But sometimes Star was the most irritating animal he knew.
    "What do you want?" He asked, grumpily
    "I'm coming with you!" Star replied, in a bouncy mood as always.
    "Fine, but you better keep up."
    "I always do!"
    And so the two siblings set off to Jamaa township to seek out the tents. Kodi was greeted by his friends, who were trying to trade away some unwanted goods. Lucy was trying to control a little bird, that was harnessed to a leash that she gripped in her right paw. It struggled, desperate to get free. Lucy admittedly felt extremely sorry for it, but at the same time it was so frustrating!
    "Hi!" Sprint exclaimed to Kodi and Star, "What are you doing?"
    "Looking for tents," Kodi calmly replied as if they did it every day as part of a routine.
    "Ok, we will help you!" Samson jumped into a tree as if it was some secret spy work.
    "Ah ha!" He called "In the Temple Of Zios!" He said, as he looked over the roof of Club Geoz and past a few trees that separated the two areas. The five ran past the crowds and through the pretty canopy of trees to see two bright red tents. Samson was speechless as he stared at a shadow inside.
    "Kodi, don't go in there! They are humans! JamTube is filled with bad stuff about them!"
    "Don't worry Samson, it shall be fine," Kodi told him sternly, confident that this would be fine. But because of this message, he grabbed his sword between his teeth to protect himself. He burst into the tent. Two screams filled the air, Lucy's poor bird was so scared that it practically lifted it's owner in the air! Kodi dropped his sword, as he saw that instead of weapons, this tent was filled with books, microscopes and specimens of plants and stones in small plastic bags. He still however, cornered the humans in a corner of a tent, dropped his sword and asked them a few questions.
  22. "What are you doing here?" His voice was passive-aggressive
    "We, we, we came to stu..study the...life..h.he.here...we hope you don't mind??,," the human on the left stuttered
    "Are you harming any of us?" Kodi asked, much calmer then before
    "No, we didn't know you were still around. You see, my father discovered this planet quite a while ago now. We are part of a research team to find out about it. My father put animal DNA in amber stones. We called them spirit stones, or heartstones. When placed in a frame together to form the shape of a heart, they will cause animals to be sucked out of them. My father died last month, and his last wishes was that I found if it worked. And it did, it seems."
    Kodi was stunned. He turned away from them. All the stories about Zios finding the spirit stones was false. It was humans who had restored Jamaa. His life had been a lie.
    As a child, Kodi, like everyone, was taught that Zios and Mira were the creators of Jamaa. They had ruled Jamaa, until one day when they couldn't stay anymore. They created two animals called Explosion and Tobias, and they controlled Jamaa together. One day, the two were by the volcano, when Tobias fell in, clinging to the edge. Explosion had desperately tried to pull him out, but Zios told him to let Tobias go. Tobias had always thought Explosion just wanted control, so he led an army of rouges to try and destroy his brother. And... They succeeded. The final battle was between the two, on a crumbling ledge. Tobias was wearing a spiked collar, with long, metal, stalactites and stalagmites indented in it. The inner collar was padded, so it would be comfy, but the actual spikes were coated in metals. Tobias pulled just one spike from his collar, and dug it into his brother's throat. Then, the threw the red wolf off the cliff to his death. As a sign of respect for Explosion, many Jamaasians now wore the spiked collars. They were a highly controversial item, and popular to collect. The more spikes, the more you are a Jamaasian, was a popular saying.
    But now, Kodi didn't even know whether any of that story was true...
    Suddenly, from behind him, a man with a gun shot out a net, in attempt to capture a snake. Kodi was startled, and shocked. Weakly, as if drunken, he jumped in front of the snake. There was a second man with a gun who was firing bullets at he all too sudden. Death ringed in his ears.
  23. Chapter 2
    Kodi woke up In a hospital bed with Cosmo's intimidating face staring somewhat into his soul.
    "Wha... What happened?" Kodi asked.
    "You, my friend, went into a coma. It's been months!"
    "Actually," one of the good humans entered the room "you fainted when I told you about my father. Then one of our stupid researchers shot a bullet through your ear. Whether you can actually call them researchers remains to be seen." Kodi looked in a mirror. Sure enough, he has a bullet hole through the side of his ear. Blood dripped from it. Kodi touched it gently with his paw. Soon enough he wouldn't have any ears left! He sighed slowly. What was happening? His world had been torn apart! Maybe he shouldn't believe in Zios and Mira at all. Then he had a thought and gulped.
    "What... What did your father say Jamaa looked like when he restored it? Was there a... A statue in the town? Of a bird?
    "He didn't specify much, but he did say that there was a blue feather in between two tiles that glistened like the ocean. Much like you actually. He left it there as to not disturb the nature."
    Kodi was shocked. The prophecy ringed in his ears.
    "Ocean blue and twilight purple will mix to make a storm." So maybe Mira was the ocean blue of his pelt? It had to be. But if Mira was ocean blue, what was the Twilight purple?
    Margo continued to stare through the crack at the side of the building. Inside were seven or so men. They chewed cigarettes and talked in weird voices. Then she realised something.
    These people were't planning on leaving anytime soon.
    If they had built so much...
  24. A man with a dead arm and a black eye took his aim at the brown cheetah, sunning on a brown rock. The cheetah was chocolate coloured with a tan front. She wore antlers, a spiked collar around her neck, a longbow and a raccoon tail. As the human pulled the trigger, another cheetah appeared from behind the rock. She was neon pink with a raccoon tail also, that matched the colour of her pelt. The person could not believe his luck. And shot this one too. But behind him a lime green wolf pounced. Margo dug her claws into his shoulders, and a green cheetah then appeared also, swiping his arms. The man then went all light and floaty, as if he had gotten drunk, which he probably was. Margo and the cheetah, who told her that his name was Temple, dragged the cheetah's bodies until they reached the hospital, and were surprised to see half of Jamaa in there, anxiously staring at Kodi with BIG eyes. The two green animals pushed through, and eventually found Cosmo, standing over a blue and green fox and shoving medicine into her mouth. And it didn't taste nice. Suddenly the brown cheetah became conscious and lifted her head slightly. A trail of saliva dripped from her mouth, then she fell off Margo and was sick on someone's paw. Then she sat upright when she realised who it was.
    "Ummm I'm sorry.... " she stuttered as she stared upwards at the blue and white wolf figure. Greely huffed, and forgave the cheetah, who then introduced herself.
    "Sorry about that everyone. Anyhow, my name is Canyon, and this is my best friend Amilie. We were chilling on a rock near crystal sands and then BANG!" The whole room gasped as if it was a terrifying horror movie. Canyon looked puzzled. "was I really that terrifying?" She asked. And the answer was no. Peck nesting dolls were on clearance in epic wonders and they were just too bootyful. Then Amilie slowly sat up, looking around. Then her mouth frothed up, and Cosmo shoved a bowl underneath her chin, and Amilie spat into it and spluttered loudly. Then she lay down and fainted again.
    "Excuse me misses but since when were you in charge?"
    "SINCE I SAID SO PHANTOM 22847636!"
    It was a phantom meeting and the phantom queen was having trouble organising the phantoms. Since Tobie was no longer there to boss them around, the largest phantom (in more then one way) was leading them away from evil and into cupcakes. No, that is not one of Cosmo's jokes, the phantoms were now starting a candy industry. And the phantom queen was wearing a magical pink dress with flowers and cupcakes all over it. How a phantom wears a dress we will never know, but she was, so there!
    Of course we all know that I wouldn't be telling you this if it didn't have any impact on the later story, so now we travel through a minuscule crack in the wall and through a telescope to where an eye looks through. An amber eye, belonging to a dark green cheetah. He was wearing green leaves around his neck, and blue armour with a glowing silver piece on his tail. Temple,you will remember him, "because his body is a temple" in multiple ways. As in, he looked like a temple and had huge muscles in his legs. Temple took his eye away from the telescope and went over to his sofa, a swinging chair with pillows untidily arranged. On the oak table to the side was an indigo lamp, but the battery was draining and the light flickered. Temple's eye were glued to the wooden, homemade television that hung on the wall. It was very thin, and attached only by two nails, hammered in to the wall originally to hold a painting, but now it held the news reporter, busily chatting to witnesses. Witnesses of a horrific scene.
    Three skins of three jamaasians. Hanging on a wall next to a table stained with blood.
  25. Chapter 3
    Margo was gobsmacked. There is no other word you could use to describe the terrified look on her face as she was lying on a worn sofa, as she gawped at the t.v. It wasn't like anything Tobie had done. Not anything like it. Tobie didn't kill for fun, he killed looking for vengeance. These people, no, THESE ANIMALS had killed for something different. Money. The news reporter was showing a sale on eBay.These people had come to hunt.
    Or had they?
    The next video was off of YouTube, the human version of JamTube, and there was the truth.
    "As earth is long out of we here were chosen to go on a mission to collect it from space. Our people have been out of decades, but it is here thatwe have found a significant volcano that will erupt oil! But we need to forceerupt it, and to do so we must capture all life as to not let the oil harm it.But these creatures are vicious. Killers, who want our blood! But we have slain many a beast so far, soon they will be gone!" Another man appeared. "And now preorder today!" He held up a skin of a fox and Margo felt sick. It's eyes were gone, its fur smooth, and it's teeth bared in it's death pose.
    Then the door shook. Margo grabbed her longbow and loaded an arrow into it. The door burst open. She aimed, then fired. The arrow slipped in slow motion towards the men, as one pressed his trigger, once, twice, thrice before he fell. Margo ducked, receiving only a bullet in the corner of her ear. She yelped, but loaded another arrow quick as the second man shot. She jumped, up ontop her shelf before grabbing a camera, turning it on, putting it back in a good position and shooting . Two down, three left. Margo suddenly realised she had no more arrows; they had fallen out when she jumped. Then the world turned black and her heart slowed.
    When Temple arrived carrying Margo's body, a cry rang out from the crowd. Greely ran through, and lay by her side.
    "No, not you.. I can't lose you too..."
    "It's ok, Greely, she's alive"
    "Temple, how! She was shot in the chest I can see it!"
    "I removed the bullet. I learned how to at camp a year ago."
    "Oh thank Mira!"
  26. It was just a few minutes later that Margo started to strir. And when she finally opened her eyes, she saw Temple and Greely, worriedly looking down lovingly into her eyes. It was then she realised that Temple was hot.
    [AN:I SUCK AT WRITING LOVE STORYS FOR ANIMALS KIDDOS DEAL WITH IT]
    And it was then that Temple realised that Margo was pretty hot too. It was like in the movies, they just stared into each others' souls and didn't stop. Slowly, the Jamaasians watching began to stand, and leave to go about their regular day. Margo had met Temple before, like when they took the cheetahs to Cosmo, but she began to see him in a whole new way. And no, it was not that he looked like he could cook a mean pancake stack. Which he could.
    Just then, the door of the hospital swung open and Star ran in.
    "Auntie Margo! Are you ok?"
    "What does it look like?" Snowy asked. She knew full well Star hadn't heard what had happened but was rather confused on how Star couldn't see how much blood was pouring out of Margo's chest. She would need a transplant that was for sure. Then Cosmo decided he should probably put a bandage on it. Yes, that was a good idea. Then Greely's eyes darkened. His voice was gruff, and his entire body was shaking with rage.
    "We must face it. If we don't fight back soon, they will destroy us. We must fight them. Show that we are not afraid. That we will not let them take our home from us. We need to tell them we will take back Jamaa, or die trying."
    Chapter 4
    The two scientists agreed to head to their "partners'" lab, before staying in the Chamber if Knowledge with quite a few of the animals, and the vast majority of pets. But many of those ordinary jammers wanted to fight. And Kodi let them, after all it would be nicer to be shot down that way then the cruel way others had died, strung up, shot down without a single chance. As they prepared in the temple, Canyon, who had fully healed up, appeared out of the passage from Sarepia forest. Following her, were a group of... Phantoms?
    "Canyon! What have you done?" Asked Kodi, confused, "They are disloyal!"
    "So?" Canyon spoke, "From what Margo told me, they are not exactly mortal." She stepped towards Kodi, "Phantoms obey whom they believe is right. Tobie would have told them he is right, so they obeyed him. They obey us now, and they are not disloyal. So i say, fight with them! For what have we to lose?" Kodi saw her point though, and agreed that they should let the phantoms fight with them. After all, what fun it would be to watch one of those humans get zapped! Kodi led his forces into Coral Canyons, where the battle was to take place. From the pathway coming from Crystal sands came the men. But, they had something with them. A large object, bigger then any Jamaasian.It was a cannon. It was loaded with cannonballs. Just one hit would crush an animal. Kodi took his place at the front line, beside him was Greely, and Star and Snowy, Samson, Sprint and Lucy. His friends and family, that could be taken from him in an instant. He closed his eyes. The battle had begun.
    Arrows rained down off, from above Epic Wonders, onto humans. But they wore army helmets, and chest-plates. The arrows did nothing. The animals began falling. Then, Kodi saw a cannonball fly, strait at him. His eyes closed. He felt the force of the object pummel him into the ground. And his heart slowly stopped.
  27. "Is this... Is this the Sky Kingdom? Am I dead?"
    "Yes. But not for long." From a cloud came a red figure. Explosian. His body appeared full, unlike the last time Kodi had seen him. The older wolf noticed the way his grandson was looking.
    "I am only full because I have not used my energy yet. But not for long"
    The red wolf sat in front of Kodi. He pushed his paws onto Kodi's chest. Kodi felt energy run down his chest, into his heart and lungs. He tingled. He saw the red wolf become somewhat transparent again, Kodi opened his eyes. The cannonball was off of him. He was back in the game. But he knew they couldn't win. "Retreat!" And the Jamaasians ran for their lives, through to Serpia. Animals of all shapes and sizes shuffled around nervously. Then, and it silenced them all, an arctic wolf fell. He was blue and white, with tattered clothes. Ivy ran up and felt his chest. It was rising and falling like a wave. He was alive, but dying. His mouth watered, and his neck began to bleed. Blood gushed out of a wound to deep to be healed by all the bandages and plasters in the world. His paw lifted, to another wolf who stared with love and fear at him. She was wearing a crown of flowers, which drooped down, hiding her eyes. She lay down next to him. Ivy took a step back, knowing she could not save him. Then the female wolf clung to him, burying her head in his chest, tears wetting the grass. She put her paws around his head and held it in the paws. His eyes closed halfway, but never made it the whole way down. Sympathy for the distraught girl flowed through the gathered Jamaasians, with paranoid comments filling Kodi's mind:
    "It's a sign!"
    "We're all going to die!"
    "We are doomed!"
    But Kodi had no answer. But Greely did. Greely did have an answer. And it might work.
    "To the outlands!"
    Chapter 5
    "Remind me again, Kodi, why we are walking towards a mouldy tower accompanied by Greely and two phantoms?"
    Star was doing it again, where she is filled with questions nobody can be bothered to answer. Kodi ignored her and turned to Greely, "and why?" He whispered.
    "Its a weapon. A weapon greater then any other weapon on this here planet, in the whole of Animalasia!" This filled their heads with images of huge cannons. Not what this was. Greely placed his shaky paw on the handle, and turned it. The rotting door opened, and they stepped into the 'house'. There was a kitchen, with no food. A sitting room with no seats, and a bedroom with little bed, a mere mattress. On it lay an arctic wolf. It was black and icy blue, with faintly glowing flames painted on him. He was all skin and bone. He had the most beautiful armour though, a phoenix helmet with ice armour, I would call that uneven yet he did not care. Around his neck was a deep, red cut. The blood around it was dry and old. It was a sword that had done this. No claw or bow, a sword. Swords were not used by the rouges or the humans that had came. But who else would have done this. Kodi looked at the animal's back. It was broken. Not snapped though, crushed. And unlike the sword mark, this was recent. Suddenly, Kodi realised what this meant.
    There were more rouges in Jamaa.
  28. Star stroked the wolf's hair. It was burned at the ends and Star moved it to reveal... An open eye. Suddenly the arctic wolf sat up with a jolt, saw Star and Kodi, and fell back on the bed, eyes red. Kodi panicked. Red eyes was only in a rouge. Was Greely a traiter? He opened his claws and pounced on the wolf. His claws felt around the neck. It was already bloody, so killing the rouge would be easy. The eyes on the creature burned with fury and fear. Kodi began piercing his neck with his claws. Blood began to dripple out. Kodi wondered if he was doing the right thing. Then Greely leaped up and dragged Kodi to the ground.
    "Kodiak! What are you doing!?" Greely held Kodi on the ground
    "Greely, don't call me that please. And what are YOU doing? He is a rouge!" Greely began digging his claws into Kodi's chest. Greely now spoke softly.
    "He is not a rouge. He is your brother. Juniper."
    Chapter 6
    "I do not have a brother!"
    "Yes you do Kodiak. And you just sent him to death's door. Oh, the punishment you shall receive from me for this!" Star gazed horrified, as Greely prepared to swipe Kodi around the neck. It would not kill him, but would be extremely painful. Then, Juniper sat up properly. He bought his back leg to his neck, and kicked it. Star, Kodi and Greely looked up panicked, and saw that the wound was frozen. He was fine.
    "Don't hurt Kodiak dad!" He spluttered.
    "CAN YOU ALL FLIPPING STOP CALLING ME KODIAK. PLEASE. THANK YOU," Kodi(ak) yelled. He hated the name because it made him sound like a species of bear, and he knew he was named after a bear because Snowy said he had fur like a bear. And Kodi was a wolf, not a bear.
    "But Kodiak is your name!" Juniper was confused. Then Kodi realised that he had never seen this wolf before, so he probably only had seen Kodi when he was born, and named Kodiak at the time. Juniper's eyes closed, and he stepped back.
  29. "If it is of your will to kill me, Kodi, then do it. I am good as dead anyway. I have been here since after Tobie died,"
    "I won't kill you, Juniper. But I demand to know why you have been crushed and wounded."
    "Tobie captured me during the war soon after Explosion was killed. I was about seven years old, and Tobie could kill me with one bite. But instead he kept me locked away in the phantom tower. He gave me food and water, and I was confused why. When I became twelve, Tobie's intentions became clear. He had no pity for me being a relative of him. He wanted my powers. I had recieved my powers from Explosion, when i was born, and Tobie knew he could use them. When I jump and land on my front paws, or stomp one of them down, it makes fire. Back paws, it makes ice. When Tobie asked for me to become a rouge I said no. Oh, he was furious! He dragged me to a mouldy room, and told me I was about to die. Then he grabbed two swords and held them around my neck, and asked again for me to join him. When I said no, not ever, he pushed the swords into my neck. I slapped my neck with the back leg, and the wound froze yet I fell to the ground still. I was young and confused. I tried to get up, but a huge weight fell from the ceiling and landed on my back. I felt my spine crack. I was going to die soon. I felt my chest thumping, my heart slowing. Blood dripped out of my mouth. Tobie laughed and sat next to me, feeling my broken body. I closed my eyes. He dragged me to this place to die, and soon after he himself was killed."
    Kodi stared, flabbergasted at this story. His brother had been abused so much, yet he didn't even know he existed.
    "We have to get you to Cosmo!"
    Chapter 7
    "Ahhhh! Its YOU!" Cosmo stared at Juniper in disgust and refused to heal him. "He is a traitor that one! He..."
    "Um, Cosmo, nobody needs to know about that..."
    "You killed ..." Greely slapped Cosmo across the face, and stuck a super sticky plaster over his mouth. Ivy came over to heal Juniper, but ordered Kodi, Star and Greely outside. Then, Kodi heard Juniper's muffled screams as Ivy fixed his back. Kodi braced himself for silence;what if Juniper hadn't survived, the operation might have been too much. But Juniper walked out, wobbly yet his back was fine. Kodi wondered why Greely had said Juniper was a weapon. Sure, he could... Wait. Fire and Ice.... His mind ringed back to Ember's dying words... It is fire and ice you must fight with... FIRE AND ICE! That's it! Humans can be damaged by fire, and frozen by ice.
    Juniper would save Jamaa.
    AN:Ember died in between this book and the previous one. I was going to have it in the first one, but figured there was enough.. Of that, already. If you like death for whatever reason, you'll really enjoy some of the future episodes though... That sounded dark.
  30. "I'm not healed yet! I cannot fight for you!"
    "Now listen here brother! You must save Jamaa!"
    "I AM NOT HEALED YET!" Juniper jumped up, and landed. Suddenly Kodi fell back and felt a force pressing him down. Juniper panicked, and jumped back. But it created more flame. Juniper began running. Kodi tried, but the flame held him back. He felt the flames filling his nose. He held his breath and closed his eyes. How was he dying again? And why? BECAUSE OF HIM! Suddenly anger to kill accidentally fuelled Kodi. He jumped up, and sprinted as fast as he could out the door. Flame grabbed him; he had to launch himself into the Kimbara lake. Juniper came out from behind a tree, and sat to watch the hospital burning. How? How could he just sit there? Kodi scraped his claws impatiently... Wait. But what if... THIS was their only hope.
    "I'm sorry, Kodi, my nerves got the better of me and I ran. Don't you ever just run?"
    "No. I nearly died because of you." Kodi replied.
    "I said I'm sorry. But do you see now? Kill me. Go ahead, Kodi. I will be happier in the sky kingdom then here!"
    "No. We need you Juniper. If you die, we die too. And would you be happier then?"
    "Im not a rouge, Kodi. My eyes are red because of the fire. My tufts are black because of the ash. My body is ice blue because of the ice. And my pattern is yellow because of the flame. You must realise who you are, Kodi. You are the Ocean blue and the Twilight purple. You are the good and bad united!"
    "Wait, you mean..."
    "Tobie is the purple."
    "Then why am I not red, like Explosion?"
    Then Kodi stared at Juniper. And at Star who had appeared our of nowhere. Then he thought of Margo and Greely.
    It all made sense now.
    He was Tobie and Mira.
    Juniper was Explosion.
    Star was the broken lava, and the light of the sky kingdom.
    Margo was the spirit of the forests...
    And Greely was... Wait, what was Greely?
    Then Kodi fell.
  31. Chapter 8
    "Where am I.... AHHH!!!"
    Kodi screeched as he began falling through a spiral. After falling for what felt like forever, he landed on a cloud.
    "Explosion! What is this, am I dead again?"
    Explosion let out a tiny laugh. "No. I bring you a prophecy. Yet it is not for you, it is for you to deliver, in many, many, years time. My brother is not all as bad as he says he is, and you say he is. He has light. But I am most sorry to say that the only way we can free him from his cage of dark is to, though unwillingly, let him kill the jamaasians. No, i don't mean it like hand them over, or to not grieve for them. I mean, after they die, find hope. When he has killed many of us, we can use it. I can make him feel the pain we all feel or felt. The prophecy I shall give you will change the course of history. " When lava meets water, it creates Obsidian, one of the strongest materials we have. Only then will the blood fall back into the heart and carry it down to the fire."
    "What does it mean? And what dark will there be after Tobie?"
    But Kodi felt the cloud open, and he began falling again.
    "Wake up!
    "Time for the battle!"
    That was not Kodi. That was Greely. When Kodi ran up to him, Greely swiped him around the head, causing him to lose his balance,
    "You stupid, stupid son of mine! I have been yelling and yelling at you, you lazy good for nothing... Hero, are you a hero or no more then a..." Greely searched for the word, "Coward."
    "Greely, i have had a dream from Explosion!" The huge, navy coloured wolf relaxed his shoulders.
    "What about?"
    "A new prophecy. I think it's called the Obsidian prophecy. I think it links with my..."
    "Shh, we need to surprise the enemy!"
    The animals sneaked up towards the human camp. There was a small, spherical building, utterly white with no windows. Outside it were tents, many of them. The humans were sitting around a campfire. Around them, strung up on rods, were animal skins. They had been cleaned, and the animals' pelts were glossy and new. Several of the pelts had had the head removed, to the horror of the animals, and had been made into rugs and wall hangings. Juniper and Moon then appeared. Behind Moon were several animals, mainly lions, with something huge...
    The cannon.
  32. "What is the meaning of this!" Kodi was shocked
    "If Juniper sets a cannonball on fire, and it hits that huge truck there," A lion pointed, "It will destroy all of their guns." Kodi relaxed. Maybe it could work. But it would be a challenge. The humans turned around, and each grabbed a gun from the truck. One man, he jumped in and drove the truck away, heading towards the Clearing. The animals chased it, the lions with the humungous cannon, whilst being fired at. The man stopped the truck, and let out a smirk. The animals took a few large steps back. The men readied their guns. The Jamaasians wiped their swords, and prepared their bows. It was time.
    Chapter 9
    Oh, and you should have heard the rumpus in the clearing! Guns firing, yells, screams, oh there was so many screams! Then, as a dear prepared to swipe his sword through a man's chest, he let out a screech. A metal jaw clamped around his leg. The more he struggled, the more it dug in. Then, he fell to the ground, in a deep sleep. Then Lucy cried. Why? Because that deer was Siguard.
    Lucy had known Siguard since she was young, and had been with him when he became an alpha, and now he was gone...
    Traps closed, animals cried, bones broke, tragedy filled the clearing. Soon, they had no choice but to retreat.
    "Retreat!" Yelled Samson
    "Retreat!" Yelled Ivy
    "Retreat!" Yelled Kodi and Star and Snowy
    But Sprint did not hear the calls. He sped onwards, towards the humans... Then fell. Like a wounded soldier, he fell. Gathered up like the others, and put into the truck, which was stationary. Then, Juniper lit the cannonball. It fired. The world slowed down.
    And the cannonball smashed right into...
    The Explosion memorial. There were two in Jamaa. One in the stone circle. But the large, full, beautiful one was here. The one that was burning.
  33. It was alight. Animals cried, mourning. Then Juniper began running. Where he was going he did not care. He kept jumping in rage, setting trees and rocks on fire. Between stomps, came tears. He had destroyed the hope. He was no more then a rouge, like Kodi had said when they first met, in the tower. He sped up the mountain, hurling his body into a cave. Then, created a blaze, that he turned to ice. He curled up in a corner of the cave, and cried.
    Whilst Kodi traced Sprint, Star raced up the mountain on an old snowmobile she had found in the astronomy shop for no particular reason. But when she arrived at the cave, she found Juniper, lying in a pool of blood. His mouth was open, panting. His eyes closed. His neck had been sliced. Sliced in only a way one is capable of.
    Tobie had returned.
    Juniper woke up in a patchwork bed. Sitting beside him was Explosion. Explosion chuckled as Juniper reached out to touch him, then began crying starry tears.
    "I... I am dead?"
    "Yes! But not for long!"
    Explosion began whipping up magic
    "But I destroyed your memorial!"
    "That was a memorial of who i was then, not who I am now. They do not need it. But you were sad when you destroyed it, sympathetic. And so I give you a Jamaasian hero power and title, yet you have a power already! But your new power is to control your power, you are brave! I am proud you are my grandson. And for that reason, you will not just be a Jamaasian hero. You will be the third Jamaasian legend.
    And Juniper returned to the cave, where Star reached out and hugged him tightly. This felt good.
    Chapter 10
    Kodi burst into the room. The animals were in cages. The humans were busy with one victim, no more! Never again! Kodi ran to cage after cage,with one movement of his claws, destroying the bars or lock or hinge. Animals ran out, free! Jamaasians began grabbing the mens' heads, swiping, clawing, slashing, biting them. The men began to take flight. No not with wings, with speed. The animals from all over Jamaa gathered with joy, watching the decrease of the mens' "expedition" and partied for days. Kodi was glad to have his friend back, and his brother. The wars were truly over, yet there was one issue to still be dealt with. The phantoms. What were they to do? No animal would ever feel comfortable close to a phantom even with good intentions. And so it was that the animals spent a few years researching, to find the way to reverse the rouges. It was a limited supply, however it manages to change every phantom into an animal. So, I guess you could say that once again, things were peaceful in Jamaa.
    Or maybe not.
  34. Fallen Hero (AJA3)
    "YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE UNTIL IT IS LOST"
    The SkyNado, or Sky Tornado, was destroyed long ago. But some Jamaasians believe it must be fixed, and at whatever cost.
    Out of the dust, come new heroes. Which will become legends, we do not know. But by the end, some will be reduced to mere ashes...
  35. "Look at them,
    Star has a husband and three children.
    Juniper has a wife and a daughter.
    Even Sprint has somebody.
    But look at him. He has nobody."
    "Juniper and Star are no less significant then Kodiak, yet we let the latter suffer.
    Love does not make one a coward.
    Love makes you strong.
    Love takes courage.
    You shouldn't have done it."
    "I can do what I want, :name:! They are mere pieces of a bigger picture!"
    "And what about the sixteenth? What will happen to him?"
    "Awful things. Of course. He'll probably die the second he becomes a Jamaasian hero!"
    "What if that's you, :name:?"
    "I think it's :name:. He was always a bit of a coward. He uses sympathy over battle."
    "Yes. Kindness can't win a war."
    "It doesn't mean you shouldn't be kind. Look at that kid. He's stuck in his house all day, playing... Games? With his friends. Needn't he do it, but that doesn't say he shouldn't""What a poor example."
    "You see, :name:, this is why nobody likes you."
    The spirit turned and ran away from the other three, not letting them see that it was in tears.
    ---
    The ocean blue spirit stared hard at the golden one.
    "Your time will come soon, :name:. You do not have to rub it in our faces"
    "But how soon? Who will I be?"
    "We don't know how soon. Now, observe."
  1. Prologue
    "Hey, catch!"
    Midnight tossed his sister the tennis ball, which she caught, and sent flying back at him. The three siblings had been playing nearly the whole morning, and were getting rather tired. Twilight now decided to abandon the game, and lay with her mum on the rocks of Kimbara, as her brother and sister played in the cools of the water. Everything was perfectly calm. Suddenly, Cosmo emerged from his medical centre, and handed everyone ice packs. The average day in Jamaa, I guess. As Cosmo went back in, Zara was unsettled by a loud noise. Unaware of where it was from, she sat up, to feel a hard jerk in her neck. Zara collapsed, dead. Midnight turned, and ran towards his mum. The figure took a swipe at the cub, sending him flying into sharp rocks. But before he could demolish the other two, another animal entered the scene.
    "Tobie!"
    "Greely. Nice to see you again! And I'm not letting you go with a few marks this time!" Tobie turned as Greely pounced, and gripped his neck. Margo, who had been with Greely when they heard the noise, tried to shake Tobie off. The black wolf turned and ran, leaving Margo to overcome the sight.
  2. ~Chapter one~
    A spirit for vengeance soured through Kodi as he walked in heavy steps towards the volcano. He was closely followed by Samson, Sprint, Juniper, Star and Margo. Sprint and Margo were still stricken with grief, and couldn't wait to set Tobias back in boundaries. Nobody knew how he had returned. Many assumed that he had stolen the body of one of the past rouges, and reverted it back to the original state of want for death and destruction. A passion for murder. But yet, still holding the soul and eyes of the ruthless killer who had sent Explosion to death, all those many years ago. The group continued, climbing the rocks, until they reached the entrance. Juniper forced his way in, followed closely by his siblings and friends. The volcano was utterly hollow, the pit of oil-lava uncovered and bubbling loudly. Tobie was nowhere to be seen, so eyes darted quickly and nervously around the cavern. After a minute of confusion, the black wolf emerged from the shadows. He took a few steps towards the group, causing all but Kodi to step back in fear. Kodi confronted him, teeth bared into a snarl, and stared hard at his enemy.
    "Kodiak, we meet again."
    "You.. You killed my father!"
    "Eh-heh. I sure did. Why did I show him and his sister mercy so long ago?"
    "You aren't going to lay a paw on Margo. She has kids now."
    "You have an adopted daughter. Is she not family, yet you put yourself in the front line?"
    Kodi struggled to find the right words, so Star stepped in.
    "Apart from Samson, we all have kids. You can have more then one responsibility."
    "Proof that you are all fools. You ignore the warnings."
    "Shut up and fight." Kodi took a reckless swipe at his great-uncle, causing the larger wolf to take a step backwards. Kodi then remembered the crater. If he could force Tobie in... Kodi took another swipe, and another, until they were both within three or so metres of the crater. But it was then that Sprint collapsed in a wail of grief. His wails and screams were frequent, but this one startled Juniper. The arctic jumped, and landed on his hind legs. A large amount of ice shot out, covering the floor of the cavern, and causing the group to begin skidding. Juniper howled in anger at himself, and opened his eyes from a long blink to see Tobie and Kodi rotate. Tobie looked at Kodi with a sadistic smirk, and gave him a push, digging his own back claws into the ice. Kodi let out a wail, and fell strait into the volcano. But before touching the lava, his neck caught on a sharp rock, catching him, and tearing through the flesh and through the amulet. Kodi weakly lifted a paw, and sent his own claws into his neck,before letting himself fall into the oil-lava. This final action had been done so that instead of turning rouge, he would simply die. Howls of misery came from his relatives and friends, still struggling to keep a balance. Tobie began spinning them across the ice, towards the crater. It was going to be a tragedy, Star knew, as the group braced themselves for a fall which never came. A flash of blue sent them speechless, to see an unknown Warrior fighting Tobias. The animals fought, until the blue... Cat.. Emerged triumphant, Tobias weak and bleeding, and dashing away back to the shadow. The cat helped the group away from the edge, and out of the volcano. They had now taken in the animal's appearance. It was a light blue cheetah, with a purple underbelly and dark eyes.
    "My name... Is Victory."
  3. "So... Victory. Why, how, what? How did you find us?" Star was highly confused, speaking as the group exited the volcano and stood in a circle on the ledge.
    "I just-" Victory stumbled on her words, "I don't know."
    "You don't know?" Samson glared at the cheetah, as if not trusting her.
    "I just kinda found ya'll, kay?"
    "Right."
    Margo sighed.
    "Look, talking solves nothing. Tobias just killed Kodiak. So that means Jamaa doesn't have a leader. Victory appears capable, so I say we give her a shot."
    "You're handing Jamaa to somebody we JUST met? What the living-"
    "Victory has demonstrated skills that I personally can only dream of..."
    |AN:Darn I'm making Victory sound like such a Mary Sue XD don't worry, she truly isn't...|
    "And? It's you who is in line to be leader of Jamaa, Margo. Not this cheetah. "
    "I cannot. I am too old by now to be a leader, and I dislike being overcrowded. I don't need a fancy title to be respected." Margo let loose a light growl, as Samson huffed, and left with the others, leaving Margo alone with Victory.
    "You really think I can lead Jamaa? Freaking Jamaa?"
    "I have faith in you, Vic. I do remember what you did back then. Why, I could never forget it."
    "I couldn't save them all though. I failed. Failure is not an act of heroism. Look at Explosion. He said himself, to all of Jamaa, that a hero cannot be a coward. I ran. Is that not cowardly?"
    "You ran with the wind. You followed your path. It wasn't right for us to forget you."
    "I was forgotten for a reason."
    "We forget nobody. Understood, you are not respected. But don't you want to be? This could fix everything that happened back then."
    "Well, maybe you're right..."
  4. [AN:Sorry for not updating in FOREVER. School is evil and I have tons of stories to work on. And sadly, this part of AJA isn't too fun to write. Its a bit like the parts in*sorry to Canine* warriors, where they just go on patrols and hunts. The next chapter will be out in one-two weeks. I just reel unmotivated to write AJA right now, apologies. And thanks to everyone who actually reads this story, I loaf you all]
  6. Chapter 2
    [AN:Thank you to Karalee for pointing out that this entire time I was spelling rogue wrong. I was spelling it rouge, which is actually something to do with makeup. YAY NOW I GET TO GO THROUGH AND EDIT A TON OF STUFF X'D]
    [Also, sorry for the delay on all my stories. 1 word-School.]
    "You... You lied to us."
    "I never lie, Dire."
    "And I'm a fish. Why did you do it?"
    "I couldn't help it!"
    "You're a monster, Pheonix. You killed Sabre and you framed Pyro's murder on Pegasus. You can't escape it."
    The larger hybrid took a swipe, sending the red and black wolf flying into a pillar.
    He woke up screaming.
    ~
    Margo watched nervously as her son pounced on his younger brother, causing him to topple over and bash strait into the curtains.
    "Downfall, cut it out!" The younger sister growled and returned to watching the television. The purple cheetah sighed, untangled himself and joined her.
    "Oh come on guys! Whose up for a game?" Downfall dangled the controllers in front of his siblings.
    "Yeah, let's not."
    "Aww, Luke! You're no fun!" The arctic wolf groaned and flopped onto a beanbag, "Mum, can we go out?"
    "We're under lockdown until Victory can keep hold of the crystal palace and everything in Jamaa.."
    "What do you mean?"
    "Star and Juniper are having to give her some help. She's incredibly insecure about the whole thing..."
    "That sucks... Hey Stardust, change the channel will you?"
    "Um, no." Stardust gave him a thump on the head, causing him to spin around and whack her shoulder.
    "Dude, ow!" She wailed, before Luke pounced on Downfall and pinned him down.
    "Hey, kids, stop that!" Margo was finally at her breaking point and stood up to face the children, "go to your rooms. All of you."
    The trio trudged up the stairs to see their dad looking out their window, shaking and still.
    "Dad, what's-" Luke was cut off as Temple began to choke.
    "Dad that's gross!" Downfall was immensely unnerved.
    Temple coughed, and sat up.
    "Run along, kiddos."
    "But what... Why...??" Stardust stared at him.
    "Listen. None of you will understand."
    "What did you see?"
    "Someone tampering with the Skynado."
    "And? They were probably trying to fix it!"
    "Look, I've been trying to get it to work since it broke. It's no use."
    The kids sighed, and walked off to their rooms.
    Star winced as the tapestry was ripped down from the side of the Crystal Palace. Of course, it was perfectly reasonable. Kodi was dead, and his banner would need to be replaced with Victory's one. Sir Gilbert approached Star and patted her on the back.
    "You'll be fine. It isn't like he's far away. He's up there." The large tiger pointed to the sky.
    "I just wish the Skynado still functioned. Then we could get him back."
    "We are trying. However, Vine and Wave aren't doing too well. They have to juggle their work with their son."
    "Can't you send him to Wolphania?"
    "That'd be a bad idea. It's still just as bad as when Kodiak's funeral was held."
    Star remembered the heartbroken wails and Snowy's mourning. It was then that Venus came running over and startled Star.
    "Come look! Storm is going to climb the big rock!" He jumped around enthusiastically and tugged at Star's tail.
    "Well, I'll be going. Good luck!" Sir Gilbert laughed as Star was dragged over to the 'big rock' that Storm was trying to climb. She started to scramble up like a lizard, but a piece of rock broke off underneath one of her paws. The white wolf let out a yelp, and fell to the ground.
    "Evil rock!" She growled. Venus and Sunrise began to howl with laughter.
    "You lot, go inside. Play with your dad instead." Star huffed, before going off to find Victory.
  7. "Utter, complete total disaster!" A blue, green and purple patterned fox dashed into the crystal palace.
    "Eternal?" Victory walked over to her friend.
    "You know this fox?" Juniper questioned Victory.
    "She taught me in Combat Training a few years ago."
    "Oh, ok."
    "So, what happened?" Victory panicked as Eternal shook.
    "There's a fire in Kimbara. Everyone says it was Tobie's Rogues.
    Victory looked at Eternal wide-eyed.
    "Is everyone alright? What about the invalids?"
    Eternal gulped.
    "Most of them got out."
    "Most?" Juniper began to worry.
    The fox couldn't speak for a few seconds, stuttering in jibberish.
    "Stream, Crimson... Countless other names. And Ivy."
    Juniper prayed that Eternal was joking. But you don't joke about death.
    "Stream and Crimson... Stream and Crimson..." Victory racked her brain, trying to remember what significance they were of. As if she read her mind, Eternal took over.
    "I just feel sorry for Crimson's kids. Their father isn't the most trustworthy."
    "Are they not coming to Jamaasian training?" Juniper questioned Eternal.
    "They are, but that isn't for another two months."
    "What about Stream?" Victory gulped, in regret that she didn't know the names off by heart.
    "Stream was Wave's sister. She was supposed to look after Lukas during the suspected battle. Look, Ivy tried to help the,, but she got trapped and-"
    "They killed Ivy. It's their faults!" Juniper wailed.
    "Never blame someone who is not around to defend themselves."
    "I can't help it! Who will it be next? What if it's Gilbert? Or you or me? We don't know! It's chaos!"
    "I don't know what else to say." Eternal sat down in the grass and sighed, "We need to fix the Skynado."
    "Vine and Wave are trying but they have to prioritise their son."
    "Can Infinity not take him into the training course?"
    "Two years too young, I am afraid."
    "Never mind that, we'll work something out." Eternal finished the conversation abruptly,"anyhow, I must be on my way. I need to help fix the damage."
    She left the crystal palace in slow steps.
  8. Chapter 3
    ~
    "Explosion?"
    Kodi approached his grandfather, "And Greely?"
    "Take a seat." Explosion flicked his tail towards a flat area of purple grass. He obeyed the command.
    "You alright?" Greely asked him.
    "I'm dead. Does that look alright?"
    "Now is not your time. The Skynado should fix soon." The larger wolf nudged his son.
    "It isn't right. I can't bear to think that they have to slave away to fix this thing."
    "Hardly. They aren't even trying." Explosion looked at his feet, "and it looks like Jamaa is about to die."
    "Victory is strong." Greely loosely argued.
    "But not strong enough."
    "But is anybody strong enough?"
    Explosion extended a paw to point towards the tapestry.
    "Victory's symbol is a beacon."
    "How do you know it is Victory?" Greely argued with his father.
    "It would make sense. The volcano is I, the phantom is Tobias, the lightning bolt is Kodiak, the fire and ice is Juniper, and Victory must be next."
    "What tells you that?" Greely spat, "You always think you know what is right. You don't. Only Zios and Mira know what is right. You know nothing!"
    Kodi stood up and walked away from his bickering relatives as they argued. He looked up at the tapestry.
    "Why is Tobias on the tapestry if it is only for heroes?"
    ~
    Tobie looked with disgust at the several gashes on his body.
    "Sir, shall I send the next group of rogues out now or sunrise? And where would you-"
    "Your choice, Cripple," he paused, "Fine, send them now and set the Club alight. Block the entrance so they can't escape."
    "Can do, sir."
    The polar bear rogue left, and returned with a group of another ten or so solid black animals.
    "Off you go then! Need me to guide you?" Tobis waved towards the opening of the volcano.
    "What are you waiting for? Go!"
    The group left the volcano and trudged towards Club Geoz.
    "Would you look at that!"
    "What is it?" A rogue tiger asked.
    "It's a bunch of the Silvers!"
    [AN:Silvers are basically members of the established AJ community]
    "And killing a Silver will do what?"
    "Spread the message." The cheetah rogue unsheathed it's claws, "well hurry up! You lot get wood to block the entrance,me and Cripple will handle the fire."
    Inside the building, one of the 'Silvers' turned his head, to see the wood being moved around outside.
    "Is anybody seeing this?" He pointed towards the curtained window. The red wolf next to him groaned.
    "No, Julian, because not each and every one of us spends the time and effort to acknowledge any bug in the universe!"
    "Well, I for one am leaving. Your choice if you want to get trapped in here!" With that, the horse quickly walked out through the door. Curious as he was, he'd rather not investigate what was about to happen to everybody still inside.
    Too bad he didn't warn everyone.
  9. --Please read--
    Ok, I know I haven't updated since November, but I have NOT abandoned this story. I have simply been working on alot of other stories and lots of schoolwork, and AJA isn't exactly read by many.
    I likely will not continue this story until summer.
    On a side note, please do comment if you read this story and try to get the word out. It is currently my largest story written to date, and I'd like to have more readers ^-^
